Mr. Tindyebwa is a mining professional with over 30 years? experience in the mining industry, having worked for various Governments, the private sector, international organisations and development agencies in Africa, mostly on the regulatory part of the industry. He worked for the Government of Tanzania as an Exploration Geologist, Resident Mines Officer, Zonal Mines Officer and Registrar of Mineral Rights & Head of Licensing in the Ministry responsible for mining. He headed the Ministry?s team responsible for the design and implementation of the country?s first computerized Mining Cadastre System He has successfully undertaken various assignments in other countries including being Project Manager for implementation of the first computerized mining cadastre system for the Government of Uganda and design and implementation of the first computerized mining cadastre system for the Government of Kenya. He is currently part of a team of experts working on ASM formalisation for the Mining Diversification (MinDiv) Project in Nigeria under the Ministry of Minerals and Steel Development and the World Bank. He has completed various other projects on ASM for Governments, Mining Companies, international organizations and development agencies. He is a co-founder and Director of MTL Consulting, a leading mining consulting firm in East Africa. Mr Tindyebwa is a certified Director by the Institute of Directors in Tanzania (IoDT) and serves on various boards and committees and is an advisor for various national and international firms in the extractives industry.

Gerald Mturi

Gerald B. Mturi is an Accountant. He joined the Mining Industry in Tanzania in 1999. Prior to that he worked for the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA); and later with TOTAL, the French oil company. He joined the Tanzania Chamber of Mines in September 2016 as its Executive Secretary after serving as CEO of Resolute (Tanzania) Limited for two years during which time he oversaw the statutory closure and final rehabilitation of the Golden Pride Mine, by then a Resolute?s flagship project in Tanzania, having produced in excess of 2M oz during its 15 years mine life. During his career with Resolute he spent 5 years at the mine site in Nzega and the remaining 11 years at the corporate office in Dar es Salaam. Gerald is a member of the TEITI MSG representing mining companies. He is the current Vice President of the Mining Industry Association of Southern Africa (MIASA).

Shamsa Diwani is the Chairperson of Mineral Value Addition Organisation (MIVA) with the Brand Name Fahari Stones, a Registered Women Organisation assisting women in adding value to the mineral and work in value chain with Artisanal and Small-scale Miners all over the country. The Association has 90 Members located all over Tanzania. Shamsa is a Founder of Fahari Stones (MIVA) which was registered in 2015, before that she was a Secretary General of Tanzania Women Miners Association (TAWOMA) for eight years and is one of the Founder Members of Tanzania Women Chamber of Commerce TWCC year 2006. Ms. Diwani is currently motivating women and youth to add value to the gemstones and other minerals, motivating and train women and youth; promote and search the markets for export globally. Through the mining sector, Shamsa works very close with the Ministry of Minerals in several issues of advocacy and other related issues with the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Gloria Mafole

Gloria Mafole (adv) is a policy analyst, a human rights expert and researcher with 16 years experience working with community development and human rights organizations and faith-based organization in Tanzania. Her areas of technical expertise include capacity building at local and national level on issues of human rights, extractives, accountability and rule of law, designing research with aim of finding evidences for advocacy work, legal and policy analysis, preparation and organizing conducting peaceful dialogues for peaceful coexistence and build movements. Gloria managed a number of human rights projects, advocacy, policy analysis, researches and trainings on diverse issues of; human rights, extractives, gender justice, gender parity and inclusive development; children rights on violence against children, harmful traditions like FGM and child marriage; access to justice, and participation in macro-policy issues on contemporary issues such as extractives, democracy, good governance and development. Due to her experience, she is serving as a member of Act Church of Sweden International Reference group, a member of Gender committee of the Tanganyika law Society and a board member of the Lawyers Environmental Action team (LEAT).

Rosemary Mashimba

Rosemary is an experienced Small-scale miner who has lived her whole life working in the ASM sector. She is also an owner of several Primary Mining License (PMLs). Rosemary is experienced in ASM gold processing methods and heading a mining project where she oversees 20 staff members.
